In 1997, Leonard Redway founded LR SERVICES PLUMBING.  As a fourth generation plumber, he envisioned building a successful family business known not only for its superior service to its clients, but also for its committed service to the community.

Redway’s ambition was a literal “pipe dream” which, when measured by the traditional paths most students are encouraged to follow, was also seemingly, a figurative “pipe dream.”  In many ways, “Changing the Way You View Plumbers” was as much a personal edict as it was a professional motto.

Over the span of two decades, as the LRS business expanded, so did the Redway Brothers’ service to humanity. From helping rebuild neighborhoods on the Gulf Coast, devastated Hurricane Katrina and the LRS ‘Season of Giving’ to mentoring youth throughout Los Angeles and their unwavering support of the Jenesse Center, Leonard, Owen and Andrew have indeed changed the way people view plumbers. And after twenty years of humanitarian work, it has also changed the way these plumbers view themselves.

Beginning this year, Leonard will primarily focus his efforts on the newly launched LR Foundation, while his brothers continue to focus on operation and management of LRS PLUMBING.  LRS is living proof that a trade is a treasure and traditional paths aren’t the only routes to success. After successfully turning his “pipe dream” into a purposeful reality, Leonard will use his time, experience and resources to build a “pipeline to progress” for underserved youth throughout the nation.

Our Mission

The LR Foundation is devoted to encouraging community empowerment and youth development. Our mission is to create a “pipeline to progress” for underrepresented and underserved youth by providing career education, training and skills workshops, and on-the-job shadowing programs. We want youth to flourish and learn that traditional paths aren’t the only routes to success. The LR Foundation model will serve as a catalyst to change the way young people view their future.
